Cat Anatomy
If you have a cat then it is very necessary to know the anatomy of the cat. When you have full knowledge of cat anatomy then it is very easy for you to keep maintenance of your cat. The body structure of cat has skeleton and muscles. There are many bones in the body of cat like skull bones, pelvic bones and appendicular skeletal bones. These are the basic bones of the cat body which give support and stamina to the cat’s body.

The hair of coat grows from follicles while the guard hair is thickest from the secondary hair and the coat of cat is thinner than that of dog.
The claws of cat are very retractile in nature which has very specialized structure in the anatomy of cat and it is laterally compressed. The sole of claw at ventral region is soft with horny walls grow over the sole regions. There is no lateral jaw movements in cat species and hunting of cat depend on the movement of prey rather than the vision related functions of body. The two movements of cat’s body in basic anatomy like the jerking of tail and movement of claws are well synchronized reflexes in body and the impulses are transferred through nerves which make the movement possible.
If we come to the mouth and digestive system in anatomy of cat there are many important components like buccal region, pharynx, larynx, palates in oral cavity and stomach with intestines. There is pylorus in the stomach which is with small intestine. The intestine has outlet through bile duct and pancreatic duct and large intestine come next to it. Small intestine is considered very important in anatomy of a cat. When a cat eats food then it first transfer to esophagus then the food will come to cardia which will be followed by the stomach of body. Finally the food will come to small intestine and after this it comes to large intestine. The large intestine have cecum, colon and rectum which is last part of intestine and it end up in anus.
