Cat Fleas
There are about more than two thousands species of fleas, the most common of them is the cat flea. The adult cat fleas are found across the world and mostly commonly found in the United States and mostly cats and dogs have fleas. For its generation it requires fresh blood. They lay eggs and after every hour it give one egg. They have four stages in their life cycles starting from egg, and then larval, pupa and last one is adult. The duration of this cycle is from 35 to 75 days and it depends on the external atmosphere like temperature and humidity.
This is a serious threat to cats and this problem mostly comes from flea bites which are flea allergy dermatitis and the severity of this problem depends on the sensitivity of host. This problem is mostly existed in United States and cat owners spend much money on flea allergy remedies. It can create problem for other and it is expected that it can carry plague and typhus. It acts as intermediate host to the dog tapeworm, an intestinal parasite which can enter the pest when flea having tapeworm cyst is swallowed.
Now the most suitable way is to adopt such measures which can help to control the fleas. First you detect your pet for fleas and you can identify it from the behavior of your pet. You should have knowledge about the symptoms of fleas and you can consult with your vet. If you detect fleas in the early stages then it can easily be controlled and minimize the suffering that can happen to you and your pets due to allergies or some serious infections which can be caused by them. Now you need to control the breed of fleas which can be done by proper care of sanitation of your indoor and outdoor premises.
You should bathe and shampoo your pet on regular basis. Today many varieties of shampoos available in the market which are specially formulated for your pet, these shampoos contain pesticides which are helpful in eradication of fleas.
You should think how eliminate fleas from your surrounding, you should continue your efforts in this regard until you get rid of this problem. If you have a glance outside of your house then you will find many wild animals which are a great source of carrying of flea populations. It is estimated that the common cat flea can infest more than 50 animals in the world. The favorable conditions of fleas are moist, warm, shady and organic debris. So direct your efforts on patios and under porches and doghouses.
Now you need medicated care to prevent the fleas, parasitologists has introduced new weapons against fleas which is the monthly administration of oral or tropical medications. The medication used to prevent the growth of fleas and it includes lufenuron which prevent flea from hatching. You can get it as oral tablet and available with veterinarian. You can also use spray against it which is available on stores.
